Week 30

Today I am 30 weeks prego. Wow, seriously-time flies by! I can't believe I only have 9 weeks left!!!
Apparently God is preparing me for the sleep pattern I will be on soon as I am not sleeping now. The problem is I wake up every two hours to go to the bathroom. Every two hours is a bit ridiculous really. I wake up tired and look forward to 2pm when I will be napping with Sydney. I need a stretch of 5 hours of sleep to fully function. Luckily Anthony works a later shift so I am able to sleep in a bit most days but oh boy-how I miss my sleep. Do they make sleeping pills for prego ladies? Maybe even a catheter?

Here's the 30 week update:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I hear that! Second time around was much more annoying than first. I was already tired from taking care of one child and then to be up ALLLLLLLLLLLL night long...ugh! At least you don't have much longer and then maybe he'll be one of those great babies that sleep through the night at a relatively early age!
