Week 24 doctor appointment

Yesterday was my 24 week doctor appointment. Everything went well. We had an ultrasound first since baby boy didn't cooperate last time and show his heart and organs very well. And this time...same thing. He was curled up in a ball with his back towards us the whole time. The ultrasound tech said, "I don't want to say he's stubborn, but...." We tried for quite a while to get him to move but he just wasn't going for it. So I get another ultrasound in 4 weeks! The tech assured me everything looks fine but they still like to get a very clear picture of the heart to double check everything. So thanks little man, I enjoy seeing you at every doctor visit!

The baby is measuring exactly right on date wise, and he weighs 1 pound and 9 ozs.

Here's the 24 week update:
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
